Stainless Steel Sheet & Plate Introduction

301 stainless steel is known as one of the most commonly used martensitic steels. It contains over 11.5% chromium, making it moderately resistant to corrosion. Martensite 301 can be hardened by heat treatment and has a wide range of properties. Whether annealed or hardened, 301 stainless steel retains its magnetic properties. Due to its hardenability, its weldability may be reduced accordingly. Its application is also limited by the working temperature, the strength decreases when the working temperature is high, and the ductility decreases when the working temperature is low. Grade 301 is suitable for applications requiring high strength but moderate corrosion and heat resistance.

301 stainless steel has good tensile strength, creep strength and fatigue strength, but has slight corrosion resistance. After annealing, it can be moderately stretched and formed with fairly good cold workability. Heat treatments for Grade 301 include annealing, hardening, quenching, tempering and stress relieving. As a martensitic steel, Type 301 is one of the most difficult stainless steels to weld. The chemical balance gives stainless steel 301 higher strength and hardness, but less ductility.

301 Stainless Steel Sheet & Plate

301 stainless steel is a stainless steel grade produced according to the American ASTM standard, which is equivalent to my country's 1Cr13 stainless steel, S41000 (American AISI, ASTM). 0.15% carbon content, 13% chromium content, 301 stainless steel: good corrosion resistance, machinability, general purpose blades, valves. 301 stainless steel heat treatment: solution treatment (℃) 800-900 slow cooling or 750 fast cooling. 301 stainless steel chemical composition: C≤0.15, Si≤1.00, Mn≤1.00, P≤0.035, S≤0.030, Cr=11.50~13.50.
